Breaking Dawn Cover

Breaking Dawn

For many months now the cover of Breaking Dawn has been talked about. I have seen many mock ups of what everyone was staying was the "offical" cover. I'm glad to see none of them were right. The cover above is better then most I came across. As always the cover doesn't give much away as to what the story is about. But I do know I can't wait to get my hands on it. =)

If you can't wait for August, make sure you pick up the Special Edtion of Eclipse. It includes the first chapter of Breaking Dawn.

[Review] - Wicked Game

Rock Music & Vampires, two of my favorite things!

Former con artist Ciara takes a job at a rock radio station WVMP. She's hired as a marketing intern. She's there to help the station, so it doesn't get bought by big corp Skywave. The DJ's are vampires that are stuck in their era. It's the music and radio station, that is the staple to their world. To survive and Not Fade Away.

I found Jeri's vampire mythology very intriguing. Not only are they stuck in the era/year they died in but alot of them seem to have Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, which I find very interesting. I don't think I have ever read about vampires like these ones. Another thing I found cool about this book is that each chapter is named for a rock song. Such songs as It's Only Rock N' Roll(But I like it), Everybody Wants to Rule the World, Come As You Are.

The book was fast, fun and sexy. I highly recommend it. So far it's one of my favorite book of 2008. This is the first book that I read by Jeri Smith-Ready. But she has also written: Requiem for the Devil, The Wild's Call (online story), Eye of Crow & Voice of Crow

My favorite quote from the book is this: "Sounds like rehashed cliches to me, warmed-over Anne Rice, but hey, I scarf down those trendy vampire novels like they were heroin-soaked potato chips..." ~Ciara

Book Description: Recovering con artist Ciara Griffin is trying to live the straight life, even if it means finding a (shudder!) real job. She takes an internship at a local radio station, whose late-night time-warp format features 1940s blues, 60s psychedelia, 80s Goth, and more, all with an uncannily authentic flair. Ciara soon discovers how the DJs maintain their cred: they’re vampires, stuck forever in the eras in which they were turned.

Ciara’s first instinct, as always, is to cut and run. But communications giant Skywave wants to buy WMMP and turn it into just another hit-playing clone. Without the station—and the link it provides to their original Life Times—the vampires would "fade," becoming little more than mindless ghosts of the past. Suddenly a routine corporate takeover becomes a matter of life and un-death.

To boost ratings and save the lives of her strange new friends, Ciara re-brands the station as "WVMP, the Lifeblood of Rock ’n’ Roll." In the ultimate con, she hides the DJs’ vampire nature in plain sight, disguising the bloody truth as a marketing gimmick. WVMP becomes the hottest thing around—next to Ciara’s complicated affair with grunge vamp Shane McAllister. But the "gimmick" enrages a posse of ancient and powerful vampires who aren’t so eager to be brought into the light. Soon the stakes are higher-and the perils graver-than any con game Ciara’s ever played…

[Review] - Bound By Magic

Bound By Magic
starts off with an Erotic bang!

Although I maybe bias since I'm a friends with the author but, this book is a fun entertaining read. I definitely recommend it. I think any fan of Erotica Fantasy would enjoy it.

For a first time author, Amanda Cummings writes sex scenes amazingly well. She has created a very unique world, that consists of erotic dreams, magic, hunky guys and of course the bad guys who are trying to ruin everything.

Book Description: Two worlds held together by magic, the Earth realm and the realm of Aldar. Amber Moyer is a Chosen from our world. As the time draws near Samhain, Tavis, from Aldar, seeks her out in dreams. They are soul mates. Together they sustain his realm with the life giving magic of the Earth realm. But there is evil that seeks Aldar. Will Tavis and Amber be able to overcome the evil? Or suffer the same fate as Amber's mother so many years ago?
