[Review] - Acheron

Year: 2008
Summary: Eleven thousand years ago a god was born. Cursed into the body of a human, Acheron spent a lifetime of shame. However, his human death unleashed an unspeakable horror that almost destroyed the earth. Then, brought back against his will, Acheron became the sole defender of mankind. Only it was never that simple. For centuries, he has fought for our survival and hidden a past he never wanted revealed. Until a lone woman who refuses to be intimidated by him threatens his very existence. Now his survival, and ours, hinges on hers and old enemies reawaken and unite to kill them both. War has never been more deadly... or more fun.
Thoughts: I loved every bit of this book. I think its the best Dark-Hunter book in a good long while. It's now one of my favorites. The first part of the book consists of Ash's past. Even though readers know that he didn't have the greatest past. It was still very hard to read it. It was so heartbreaking. Feels like your reading about a different person then the one we've met in past books. I didn't like his heroine to begin with, but now think she's perfect for Ash. All around a great book. I couldn't put it down once I started it. It's everything the fans were hoping for.

I mentioned before I hated reading when I was in school. I really got into reading about 1998. Started reading Anne Rice and then the Buffy Book, but really got hooked after reading Harry Potter.
What is your favorite genre?
Paranormal Romance, Urban Fantasy, Historical Romance, Fantasy
Do you have a favorite novel?
Yes, lots of them.
Where do you usually read?
On my bed.
When do you usually read?
During the day, at night time. If i'm watching tv, I read during the commericals.
Do you usually have more than one book you are reading at a time?
Yes, I'm usually reading two books. Sometimes three.
Do you read non-fiction in a different way or place than you read
fiction? Nope
Do you buy most of the books you read, or borrow them, or check them out from the library?
I use to get books from the library. But I live in a small town and our library is small, so a lot of times I can't find what I'm looking for. I buy most of my books.

[Review & Giveaway] - Wages of Sin

Thoughts: This book was even better the second time around. After reading this the first time, I really got me interested into reading Historials again. Ms. Maclaine has created an exciting and fresh twist on witches and vampires. Cin and Michael burn bright from their first meeting and they keep you turning the pages, to see what happens next. My favorite thing though is "The Righteous" themselves. A group of vampires fighting evil, I can't wait to find out more about them and what's next for them.
