My Book Collection

Both Katiebabs & Barbara have blogged about their book collections, so I thought I'd get in on the action. :)
Click on graphic to enlarge the picture.

These first two book shelves are my main ones. These all hold my keeper books. The second shelf from the bottom are books on their way out. They'll either go to the Used Book Store or be used for contests.

Another keeper shelf

This shelf is where I keep most of my hardcover books. The top shelf are books that are on my TBR list.

This shelf is part of my headboard and holds the books I have yet to read. Usually it's full, but I have been book shopping this hear yet. :)

This book shelf was originally the only one in the house. I ended up growing out of it, but then ended up using it again. The VHS tapes and most of the books are mine. The rest belongs to my mom.

  1. Your books are extremely well organized and you are very well read Anna. :)

I have Acheron in my TBR, I'm saving it for a special day's read. :)

I notice you follow Kat Richardson's site. I so enjoy her Greywalker series. Probably my favorite Urban Fantasy author to date.

    Best Regards

  2. Thanks Lea!

Acheron was very good. One of my favorites form 08.

I love Kat Richardson's Greywalker series. Her, Mark Henry and Richelle Mead are at the top of UF list. :)

  3. Hmmm, maybe I should do a post too. I love looking at peoples books! It's fun and exciting!

It'll give me something to do to take my mind off this stuff with Devin and school. It's not looking so good. I need to have a talk with him after school. I'm not sure what to make of it.

Kate... I always think I'm running out of room and need more shelves. But as you can see I still have room to work with. LOL!

  7. I really don't have room for another book shelf so I know eventually I'm gonna have a second row of books on the shelves. I don't look forward to that. LOL!

  15. I didn't blog about them till today, lol! I had used an old post just as a place to store my goodie pics because I couldn't get a slide show to work like you and Amy, lol.

But I just posted my books. Which--I might add--are not half as nice as yours :/ Sigh...I NEED MORE ROOM!!!

  16. Yes, but you still had some of your books posted you see. LOL!

I don't need more room, but one could always use more room.

You should ask for a bookshelf for you birthday or Mother's day even. :D

  17. Oh dear, Anna, I just counted my books. I have 526! I would never have guessed that I had that many! I'd say about 150 of those are unread! I didn't realize I had that many unread. I also have a box that I didn't count that probably has about 20 books in. Oh man! I would hate if we should ever decide to sell the house and buy another one. I would dread having to pack up this room. But I do so love it!

  18. Oh My, see I told you had a lot more. LOL! Although I did just place an Amazon order, so my number went up a little bit, but not that much.

Out of the books I have there are 50 that I haven't read yet.

I would also dread moving again, that's just scary to think about. LOL!

    :)

  19. Wow, your shelves are really pretty..and empty! LOL You make me feel like a packrat.

Beautiful, though. I'm glad you shared. =)

  21. I spy with my little eye...

Immortal Warrior on your headboard shelf. Cool!

I wish my books were that organized. It will help when Kid 1 goes to college next year and I can turn his bedroom into a real office (closing door!) and convert what we euphemistically refer to as the family room -- aka where all the junk and extra furniture live -- for him to crash in when he comes home for visits.
