The Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway. This is a book I had to read for an English elective my Senior year of high school. It was pure torture. I couldn't believe how bad it was. I don't think I even finished it. It still amazes me I passed that class.

  1. Hi Anna!

Wow, great list of books there, sadly I don't think anyone reads the classics anymore, mostly because the language is hard to follow, I know that's my biggest complaint. I like to read for enjoyment and not have to analysis and decipher so much. Maybe someday I get around to reading more of them.

  3. Great answers!

Dead Until Dark is one of my favorites, too. I only own the audiobook, tho', but have listened to it more than once, and sometimes play bits of it when I need a smile.
And, you're so right about Clay. ;-)

  4. Great answers Anna! I totally agree that everyone should give Nalini Singh a shot and may I add Meljean Brook to that question as well. :)

Gosh, me too. I've really slacked on the classics. I've read some Austen novels and of course I've seen all the movies. And then who didn't read Romeo & Juliet in school?!? But yeah, it probably woudn't hurt to read more classics. *sigh* one day. :)

    Have a great weekend!

    :) VFG

  5. Thanks Dottie! I'm gonna try to get a couple classics in this year. Try at least. LOL!

    Sarai,
I believe I've read that one too. I've read a few books on Elizabeth I and I believe that is one of them.

    Renee,
I have listen to the audio too. LOL! But don't own it.

    VFG,
I agree with you on Meljean Brook. I love her stuff too. I remember reading other plays in hs but none stuck with me. :)

The Agony and the Ecstasy. Written in 1961 by Irving Stone.

I had to read this book the summer before my Freshman Year of High School for the specialty art program I was in - that book was torture!!! (I finished it) When school started we had to create a piece of art based on the book - I got a C on the project!!!!

  14. Hi! I've found the ebook version of the fourth legacy book, it was fantastic. I have a small question for you. I'm searching a novel or a short story about touch (as in the human sense of touch, like sight, ec...). Do you have some title to suggest?

  15. Anna, good answers! I may give this meme a shot. I've seen it on a few other blogs, it's fun and insightful to read everyone's answers.
