Sue-Ellen Welfonder has offered up the chance for three winners to receive signed copies of her latest release Tails of Love. To enter just a leave a comment on this post. I will pick the winners on June 11th
Just released today (June 2nd) Tails of Love is Lori Foster's charity anthology that benefits needy animals. All ten stories in Tails of Love feature an animal playing a key role in the romance. All author and agent proceeds go to a no-kill animal shelter: Animal Adoption Foundation
Book Description:
From Seeing Eye dogs to the cat who cuddles in your lap, animals are there for us in more ways than we can count. Helping us get through the day with a wag of the tail and a tilt of the head, they let us know that someone is on our side—no matter what. They also have an amazing ability to break down barriers between people; bringing families and loved ones closer, and giving strangers an excuse to strike up a conversation. In Tails of Love, each writer draws from her own unique perspective on our loyal friends—exploring the many mysterious ways they bring love into our lives.

ReplyDeleteHi Anna and Sue,
ReplyDeleteI want to thank both of you for highlighting this cause, and especially to Sue for donating her story and her time in promoting this book, even though she won't make a penny.
Animal Shelters are always desperately in need for funds and donations, and think the benefit book is such a great idea to raise awareness and give to a great cause, while the reader gets great stories. It's a win, win for everyone. I would love to win this book!

ReplyDeleteWonderful concept for a beautiful cause!! A big thank you to Sue Ellen and all the contributing authors.
ReplyDeleteWhat a timely book/contest this is after all of the raids on puppy mills in my area lately (Pacific Northwest). It is an incredibly sad and heartwrenching situation here. Hundreds and hundreds of dogs and puppies crammed into crates , cages and boxes who are starving, flea-ridden and absolute innocents in this war. At least 7 different mills have been raided in the last 2 months. Makes me sick, but makes me proud these authors are helping with the needs of animal shelters and rescue groups. That warms my heart!

ReplyDeleteHi, Anna! Thanks for posting a blog about Tails of Love. I'm privileged to be in the anthology with Sue-Ellen and 8 other great authors. The book will raise for a no-kill animal shelter, and it features stories about the ways animals can be a part of humans' happily-ever-afters. My favorite kind of romance!

Hi Anna - Thanks so much for hosting this contest for me. Likewise thanks from the other Tails of Love authors - said, waving at Marcia! - we're all so appreciative of getting out word for the anthology. It's such a great cause and we're hoping the book's sales will bring lots of support to needy shelter animals.
ReplyDeleteWe're hoping, too, that the stories will encourage readers to adopt a rescue pet and give a deserving animal and good and loving forever home!
Pets give us so very much and ask so little. We're all thrilled to be able to use our words to do something to make a difference for some of the neediest.
Everyone posting - especially in regard to Blodeuedd's question - yes, everyone on the planet is in the running. I'll post the winning books to whatever corner of the world you may live in. My pleasure!
Have fun in here, everyone!! I'm so happy to see so much interest in Tails of Love!
Hope to meet some of you at Lori's Event this weekend! ... Like you, Amy C.! It will be such a good time.

a pet(for me a dog)can bring so much happiness; they are such good friends, seem to understand when one is feeling lonely/down and they are your shadow so you are never alone. Love the sounds of this book.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with the rest, what a great cause to work for. This coming from a big animal lover..

ReplyDeleteI would love to read this at the beach this summer....thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteWow, everyone! - I'm just looking in and it's so good to see so much interest in Tails of Love.
ReplyDeleteI've said in other blogs, but will say again here ... it's so wonderful to see how many people in the romance community love animals. I just love that.
Linna - good question! I am not sure whether the cute little carpet critter is a dog or a cat either. I'm leaning towards it being a dog, though.
Anyway, I have the three copies right here in my office, ready to be signed and sent off to the winners.
Good luck to all of you!
Go Pets!
