The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society is one book I highly recommend. Thanks to AmyC for recommending it. I just finished reading and loved every bit of it. I think anyone who has found friendship through their love of books will enjoy this book.

AmyC thought this was such a wonderful book she came up with The Traveling Potato Peel Pie Society. In which the book would be passed around from reader to reader. So far the book has been to New York, Finland, New Jersey, Louisana and here with me in Minnesota. If you want to learn more about her idea, you can check out her original post HERE

Book Description:
January 1946: writer Juliet Ashton receives a letter from a stranger, a founding member of the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. And so begins a remarkable tale of the island of Guernsey during the German occupation, and of a society as extraordinary as its name
.
