[ARC Review] - The Wild Irish Sea

Title: The Wild Irish Sea
Author: Loucinda McGary
Genre: Romantic Suspense/Light Paranormal
Release Date: July 6, 2010

I received this book for review from Sourcebooks.

Summary: Drawn together by a force they can't resist...

The telepathic image of her twin brother fighting for his life sends Amber O'Neill rushing to the rocky shores of Ireland. Desperate to find him, she turns to reclusive local inspector Kevin Hennessey.

Bound together with a passion as relentless as the tide...

His past full of pain, Kevin has withdrawn from the world. But when the rain-drenched American appears on his doorstep with her wild tales of danger, something more than her sensuous beauty makes it impossible for him to turn her away.

The wildness of the sea, the mystery of a selkie prince, and a dangerous band of ruthless smugglers bring two lost souls together in a connection of mind, body, and spirit that can't be denied.

Thoughts: When Parker O'Neill runs into trouble in Ireland he calls out to his twin Amber, not thinking anything of it. But Amber receives an image of Parker in dire trouble. Amber rushes off to Ireland and enlists the help of the local policeman, Kevin Hennessy. Ever weary and worried about her brother, her journey has just started. Upon meeting Mr. Hennessy sparks fly for both of them.

Very enjoyable read. Loucinda McGary is a new author for me. But I was definitely pulled into this one because it was set in Ireland. A setting that is always captivating and magical for me. The Wild Irish Sea is definitely a wild adventure. A story that is magical and fueled with romance & mystery. I loved the folklore/mythology that was entwined into the story. A bit on the light side of a paranormal but still an great read. If you have a love for Ireland or enjoy read books set in Ireland, this is one for you.
