[Review] - Bloodrose by Andrea Cremer

Title: Bloodrose
Author: Andrea Cremer
Series: Nightshade
Genre: Young Adult
Release Date: January 3, 2012

Summary:  Calla has always welcomed war. But now that the final battle is upon her, there’s more at stake than fighting. There’s saving Ren, even if it incurs Shay’s wrath. There’s keeping Ansel safe, even if he’s been branded a traitor.

There’s proving herself as the pack’s alpha, facing unnameable horrors, and ridding the world of the Keepers’ magic once and for all. And then there’s deciding what to do when the war ends. If Calla makes it out alive, that is.

Thoughts: Calla knows saving Ren will make Shay very unhappy. But she loves him too and strongly believes he is needed if they are to defeat The Keepers.  Now with Ren, the Scion and the Elemental Cross they march into the final battle - with hope that they'll make it out alive and in victory.

Loved this book! Bloodrose was at the top of my list for most anticipated books of 2012 and it has definitely lived up to the waiting and anticipation.  One of my favorite things about the story is that we get to see more of Ren and the triangle that he, Calla and Shay create.  The story will give you an adrenaline rush, especially in the last 100 pages or so. The action was awesome.  There were a few things that I didn't like so well - but they are big spoilers.  I will say that I'm sad to see this part of the story coming to an end. Bloodrose is a great end to this trilogy.
