I remember my first ménage as if it were yesterday.
Wait, don’t get the wrong idea. Let’s start again.
I remember reading my first ménage as if it were yesterday.
I am a huge fan of Lora Leigh and one day in 2007 I saw this book on the shelf—FORBIDDEN PLEASURE. Had Lora Leigh’s name on it so I picked it up. Then I read the blurb, which includes this line:
“…Mac’s fantasies of sharing his wife haunt his dreams. And his passions. Unable to wait any longer to draw his best friend Jethro Riggs into his marriage, Mac invites Jethro to their home with the intention of drawing Keiley into the pleasures that only be achieved when two men love the same woman…”
Whoa, wait a minute. Two guys? How does that work?
Very well, thank you very much.
Leigh continues to be one of my favorite. I love the Bound Hearts series (WICKED INTENT is my favorite) but have you read the Men of August?
Holy crap, you wanna talk hot? Three brothers, three women and all sorts of pairings. MARLY’S CHOICE, SARAH’S SEDUCTION and HEATHER’S GIFT are so hot they should come with a warning to keep a bucket of water nearby.
After I’d exhausted Leigh’s backlist, I set out in search of more.
And found Samantha Kane. Sitting right beside me at the first RT Convention I attended. And she’s written these amazing historical ménages called the Brothers In Arms series.
COURAGE TO LOVE, LOVE UNDER SIEGE, AT LOVE’S COMMAND, RETREAT FROM LOVE, LOVE’S STRATEGY, LOVE IN EXILE, LOVE’S FORTRESS, PRISONER OF LOVE and LOVE’S SURRENDER.
Wonderfully romantic, amazingly hot and you know they have to be good because I don’t typically read historicals.
Shayla Black and Lexie Cooper’s Masters of Ménage series, THEIR VIRGIN CAPTIVE and THEIR VIRGIN’S SECRET, is great BDSM light. Hot, sweet and wildly romantic.
Maya Banks writes wonderful ménages including threesomes and foursomes. My favorite has to be PILLOW TALK in FOUR PLAY, but BRAZEN is on my keeper shelf as well as COLTER’S WOMAN and BE WITH ME.
Lauren Dane’s LAID BARE also sits on my keeper shelf. Love those Brown siblings.
These books keep me reading and believing that something that seems so unreal could actually work.
And that’s what I hope to bring to GODDESS IN THE MIDDLE. Sure, the heroes are werewolves and the heroine is an ancient Etruscan goddess but the emotion is what draws you in and keeps you reading.
And how can you go wrong with two hot guys?

I will never forget my first menage story. It was the first in many ways: the first ebook I read, the first erotic story, first menage, and first m/m story (it was a m/m/f). Definitely led me to reading more, lol.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the release. Can't wait to read it
Hi June. Thanks for stopping. Though I don't write m/m/f I do love to read it. Two hot men who love each other. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read the previous books in this series but it sounds so good that I will definitely be picking them up asap. Congrats on the new release and thanks for the giveaway :)

thank you so much throuthehaze. I hope you enjoy!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Stephanie on your latest release. I don't know where I've been that I missed the first two books in this series. But that will be corrected as I have them all on my TRL. Thank you for this opportunity.

ReplyDeleteI enjoy reading menages, but don't have a favorite.

It's a great series.

Thank you so much Carol! I hope you enjoy the series.
ReplyDeleteTore, thanks so much for stopping by. I appreciate you taking the time.
ReplyDeleteI can't remember the name of it, but my first menage story was by Lora Leigh also. Her books don't usually feature permanent menages though. I think the first one of those that I read was by Tymber Dalton. It was m/m/f and I think that was the first time I read a m/m scene also. Best wishes on the new release.

Estella, there are so many good menages out there. and they're all so hot. Thanks for stopping.
ReplyDeleteThank you Maureen. I so enjoy writing these stories.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read Tymber, Jen. I'll have to put her on my list. Thanks for the suggestion and thanks for stopping.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the newest release! And thanks for all the great recommendations. I'm definitely going to be haunting Amazon for a while :)
ReplyDeleteI can't really remember my "first" menage story. I really enjoy them and I'm definitely adding your book to my wishlist!

This book sounds really good! I've only read a couple of menage stories and I liked them. I love reading about gods and goddesses. Please enter me for this one.

Erin, thank you so much and I hope you enjoy my stories. Menages are like candy to me, I can't get enough.
ReplyDeleteMartha, mythology is a real hobby of mine. I love to read nonfiction books about ancient civilizations. When I'm not reading romance, of course.
ReplyDeleteMy "to read" list just got longer. The menages are a new genre for me. What a Goddess Wants is on my kindle now. Loved Spell Bound. Looking forward to the next book in the series.
ReplyDeleteStephanie (great name by the way, lol), I hope you enjoy! Cal in What A Goddess Wants is one of my favorite guys.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh!! I just love this series. I started my blog because of the first book. I wanted everyone to know about it. It was my very first review!! I would love to win this one. How many books do you think you will be doing for this series?

Alicia, you just made my day. Thank you so much! I don't honestly know how many books I'll do. I know I'm working on Kari's right now but there are several other forgotten goddesses who need stories, including Nortia, who's one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteThank you Ashley and thanks for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any menages that were fanfiction before but this looks great a perfect read for long hot summer day. Thanks for the chance at this great giveaway!
