Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Series I Haven't Finished

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each Tuesday features a different topic and you post your top ten list related to the topic.

This weeks topic is Top Ten Series I Haven't Finished.

Titles that are highlighted are ones I've read.

1. Dragon Kin by G.A. Aiken
This series was recommended to me. I enjoyed the first book, but couldn't get into the second. I ended up passing on the series. Although strangely I'm addicted to this author's books under the name Shelly Laurenston.
Dragon Actually
About a Dragon
What a Dragon Should Know
Last Dragon Standing
The Dragon Who Loved Me
How to Drive a Dragon Crazy

2. Weather Warden by Rachel Caine
I instantly loved the Wardens. I got distracted by other books, but till plan to finish the series. I'm interested to see how it all ends.
Ill Wind
Heat Stroke
Chill Factor
Windfall
Firestorm
Thin Air
Gale Force
Cape Storm
Total Eclipse

3. MacKinnon's Rangers by Pamela Clare
This series was recommended to me as well. There is much to love in this series. Highland Warriors in the rugged United States. I really enjoyed Surrender and just haven't gotten around to reading the other books.
Surrender
Untamed
Defiant

4. Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick
I loved both Hush, Hush and Crescendo. But Silence was a DNF for me. I thought about just blowing off the series, but I would like to see how it ends. I'll probably pick up the last book.

Hush, Hush
Crescendo
Silence
Finale

5. Merry Gentry by Laurell K. Hamilton
I started reading the Merry books after discovering Anita. I loved Merry and her guys. But when I got to A Lick of Frost, the book pissed me off (I won't say why, but I'm sure fans of the series know what I'm talking about) and I decided not to finish it. I might go back to it someday, I dunno.

A Kiss of Shadows
A Caress of Twilight
Seduced by Moonlight
A Stroke of Midnight
Mistral's Kiss
A Lick of Frost
Swallowing Darkness
Divine Misdemeanors

6. Mageverse by Angela Knight
Another series that was recommended to me. Vampires, shifters and wolves with a King Arthur twist. I love it. I just got distracted by other books... I intended to go back and finish the series.

Master of the Night
Master of the Moon
Master of the Wolves
Master of Swords
Master of Dragons
Master of Fire
Master of Smoke
Master of Shadows
Master of Darkness

7. Blood Coven Vampire by Mari Mancusi
I adored books 1 & 2, but by Bad Blood I lost interest. Blood Forever is the last book of the series, I might check that one out to see how it ends.

Boys That Bite
Stake That
Girls That Growl
Bad Blood
Night School
Blood Ties
Soul Bound
Blood Forever

8. Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr
Loved this series, especially Wicked Lovely. I look forward to finishing the last two books at some time.

Wicked Lovely
Ink Exchange
Fragile Eternity
Radiant Shadows
Darkest Mercy

9. Jane True by Nicole Peeler
I loved the first two books. Jane reminds me of Sookie a little. I do plan to read the rest of the series.

Tempting Rising
Tracking the Tempest
Tempest Legacy
Eye of the Tempest
Tempest Fury
Tempest Reborn

10. Guild Hunter by Nalini Singh
I'm probably gonna get yelled at for this one... But for me, I just don't care for the Guild Hunters. The first book was good but it didn't catch my interest to keep reading. I bought book 2 on the cover alone and I still couldn't get into it so I decided not to continue with the series.

Angels' Blood
Archangel's Kiss
Archangel's Consort
Archangel's Blade
Angels' Flight
Archangel's Storm

  1. From your list I have only read the first book in Nicole Peeler's series & the first 3 books in the Guild Hunters series which I didn't mind.

    Thank you for sharing :)

  2. I've seen Wicked Lovely on a lot of lists! I did finish it, but I understand why some people haven't. I've read Hush, Hush a couple weeks ago. I want to read the rest of the series, but I don't think I will do it anytime soon...

  3. Great list. I've read or tried to read a lot of these. I wanted to loved the Weather Warden series, I even bought the first three books together from Amazon. Imagine my disappointment when I couldn't finish the first book. My Top Ten Tuesday

  4. I didn't like the Guild Hunters series either. Couldn't get past book one. I am curious to know what happened in Lick of Frost to tick you off. LOL That is another series I couldn't get into.

  5. I participated this week :)

I never did read the Guild Hunter series. I don't know, I guess it didn't sound good to me, but I do love the Psy/Changeling books. You got as far in the Mageverse series as I did!

Aww, that sucks that you couldn't get into the Dragon Kin series. I love those books. I still have the one that just came out in August to read. One of these days I'll get to it :) It's Eibhear the Blue's book!

  6. I didn't finish the Gulid Hunters series too. I'm glad I'm not alone because everyone seemed to love it and Archangel 's Kiss was a DNF for me. I need to start Rachel Caine's series though.

  7. Ooh, you must finish Angela's books! LOVE that series. Course, I'm not one to speak--I still have to read Fire and Shadow (I've read all the others--but somehow I skipped these two when they came out a few years back).

As to the other series you have listed--I either haven't started them or haven't finished them. :)

    Enjoy!

  9. I have Angel's Blood on my TBR shelf, but haven't been motivated to start it despite my adoration of Singh's Psy-Changeling books. I'm very intrigued by Blood Coven and Weather Warden. Love the Dragon Kin books and I hope you get back into them!
