Thoughts: Nola Leary promised her grandmother, Nana Fee on her death bed that she would find 4 artifacts that will secure her family's magical power. So, she travels to Half-Moon Hollow, Kentucky. What she finds there is some friendly but weird vampires. Plus her sexy neighbor Jed, who distracts her at every corner from her quest.
If you haven't read any of Harper's books you really are missing out. I love how she mixes humor and the paranormal. A Witch's Handbook of Kisses and Curses is the second in the series. It's an excellent addition and enthralling read. Sexy and funny. I loved Nola, she is a strong witch that doesn't take crap from no one. She fits in real well with the Hollow crowd. I also enjoyed the snaky friendship that grew between Jane (must read her books soon ) and Nola. A must read!
