Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Places Books Have Made Me Want To Visit (whether fictional or real)

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each Tuesday features a different topic and you post your top ten list related to the topic.

This weeks topic is: Ten Places Books Have Made Me Want To Visit
(whether fictional or real)
.

1. Hogwarts
---Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. I imagine this will be on a lot of readers lists.

2. Bon Temp, Louisana
---Sookies Stackhouse Series by Charlaine Harris Not a real town, but I'd still love to visit.

3. New Orleans, Louisana
---Now New Orleans has been featured many books, but my love and interest in the city came from the Dark-Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon. As well as Anne Rice's Vampire & Witch series.

4. Gatlin, South Carolina
---An interesting city featured the Caster Chronicles by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl.

5. Middle-Earth
---J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit & Lord of the Rings

6. Seattle, Washington
---So many books take place in Seattle. But I think what sparked my interest was when I read Succubus Blues by Richelle Mead.

7. Inverness, Scotland
---I first encountered Inverness in Karen Marie Moning's Highlander series and then of course in Outlander by Diana Gabaldon.

8. Terre d'Ange
---From the Kushiel series by Jacqueline Carey.

9. Half-Moon Hollow, Kentucky
---Featured in Molly Harper's Half-Moon Hollow series. Seems like a fun place to visit.. if it was real.

10. Alaska
---From the Granite Lake Wolves. I'm not a big outdoor person, but these wolf stories make me want to visit Alaska

  2. I'm seeing a lot of New Orleans today, and I'm surprised! I guess I just didn't expect it. Lots of Hogwarts too!
