Twilight

The anticipation is finally over and the day has arrive. The premiere of TWILIGHT. In some theaters the movie is already playing. Does anyone plan going on opening day??? I had plans to, but life kinda got in the way. So, I'm planning on going the day after Thanksgiving. I'm gonna try very hard to stay away from any reviews of the movie until I go and see it. I'm pretty excited about going to see this movie, but I don't want to get my hopes up too high. I'm sure there are gonna be things that I won't like about it. But that is true about most books that are turned into movies.

  1. I'm gonna see it if it is not sold out. I've already read some reviews (bad and not so bad) But I've got my own mind so I won't let those reviews jade me :)

  2. Whether you like a book or a movie is based on personal opinion, so what some hate others love. There is always going to be people out there that nit pick things entirely too much. So if its something I really want to see or read, I stay away from others opinions usually. I'm excited about seeing this movie. The previews have all looked wonderful.

Devin has decided he doesn't want to go with me, so maybe during the week my mom and I will go. I gotta find out what day she has off.

  4. I WAS going but it is completely SOLD OUT! Ugh, I'm going to wait until the craze dies down a bit. I'm not of fan of sitting in the front row and getting neck cramps because the theater is over crowded.

  5. The previews do really look great. I don't think they strayed too far from the book, at least that's what it looks like.

I usually stay away from opening days. But I would go today if I could while all the kiddies are in school. LOL!

    But I'll wait. :)

  6. I'm doing this one backwards - I usually read the book first and then see the movie- but not this time. I had never heard of Twilight until it was coming to the theater. I'm a manager at a movie theater - the kids (I call them that but I'm only 6 yrs older, LOL) that work there actually told me about Twilight. I lucked out and had Friday off (which is amazing since I work two jobs) so I saw the movie openning day with my sister and best friend (perk of being a manager- no line waiting, lol). I love fantasy books, top favorites are: Harry Potter (of course!), Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark-hunter series (all time fave. u got to love dreamy men...sigh), The Daughters of the Moon series and the Sons of the Dark companian series (I started reading these at age 15 - I was the same age as the main characters; i love them as much today as I did back then) by Lynne Ewing, and anything by Amelia At-water Rhodes (I love that she's only a few years older than me and that she was published at age 14 - freakin' amazing! plus she's an awesome writer - Hawksong & Snakecharm are my faves.) and anything by Ellen Schreiber (she is sooooo funny!).
Sorry if I wrote too much, I get excited! :) -Sha

  8. Thanks for the reminder on this. Too bad it wasn't coming out before Christmas. It would make an awesome gift for me, I mean... my daughter. ;)
