[ARC Review] - Hex In High Heels

Title: Hex in High Heels
Author: Linda Wisdom
Series: Jazz Tremaine
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Year: 2009

I received this book for review from Sourcebooks.

Summary: Feisty witch Blair Fitzpatrick has had a crush on hunky carpenter Jake Harrison forever--he's one hot shape-shifter. Just when Blair thinks the relationship is really starting to sizzle, Jake pulls back--the last thing he wants to do is involve Blair in his dysfunctional family dynamics

Jake's nasty mother and brother are after him to return to his pack and a bunch of unruly elves start causing all kinds of chaos, Blair is trying hard not to unleash the ultimate revenge spell, but when Jake's enemies try to force him away from her, Blair is pushed over the edge. No one messes with her boyfriend-to-be, even if he does shed on the furniture!

Thoughts: Linda Wisdom is another new author to me. This is the first time I've read her work. If you haven't heard of the Jazz Tremaine series, it's a series about witches or should I say "Hexy" witches. The first two feature, Jazz Tremaine herself, the third featuring Stasi Romanov and 4th and latest book Hex in High Heels features Blair Fitzpatrick.

Blair runs a shop called Blast from the Past that sells vintage items and she's also a witch. One that has been crushing on shape-shifter Jake for a while now. When he starts pulling away she is one confused witch. But when he gets in a bit of trouble, she's determined. Nothing and no one is gonna stop her from helping Jake.

Hex in High Heels is a light fun read. It was a joy to read. I loved the flirting and the dynamic between Blair and her hunk shape-shifter crush, Jake. In Blair's story you'll find romance, magic and adventure. If you enjoy humor along with your paranormal you'll be sure to enjoy this one.

Score: 4 Stars
