Reading: Challenges & Goals

Normally I stay away from all reading challenges, I'm not sure why. But I think it's because some come with rules to the challenge that I don't want to deal with and I haven't found one that I really liked.  I am a big GoodReads person, I religiously use the site. It's a great way to keep track of my books.  They have the 2011 Reading Challenge going on There are no rules, and you have control over what your goal will be.

In 2009 I reached my highest goal at 308. In 2010 I didn't set a goal from myself, but did pretty good, reading 265 books.  This year I set my goal for 300 again.  I'm not sure if I'll get that many books read, but I'm gonna try hard to reach it. :)

If you interested in this challenge, you can find it here.

  1. I joined this challenge on GoodReads and I too love the fact that there aren't any rules. I'm new to the blogosphere, and I joined a few challenges this year, so we will see how they go! Good luck with your goal!

  2. I joined this one too! I set my goal for 200 even though last year I was only a few books short of 300.

You ought to come join my challenge on my blog. It is the 100+ challenge. All you have to do is read 100+ books in a year. Kind of like the GoodReads one. Not any restrictions either except no chapters of the bible count. Thats it. Come join it girl!

  3. I joined this one too! I love the simplicity of it. I'm always on goodreads anyway and it automatically updates how far I am on the challenge. How easy is that!?

  4. Good luck!

My goal is to read 100 books which was looking much brighter before school started back up again. Now, I pretty much read textbooks and then pass out lol.
