[ARC Review] - Awaken The Highland Warrior

Title: Awaken the Highland Warrior
Author: Anita Clenney
Genre: Paranormal Romance/Time Travel
Release Date: May 1, 2011

I received this book for review from Sourcebooks.

Summary:  A MAN FROM ANOTHER TIME, AND ANOTHER WORLD

Faelan is from an ancient clan of Scottish Highland warriors, charged with shielding humanity from demonic forces. He has been sleeping for centuries when Bree Kirkland inadvertently wakes him, and he's hungry in more ways than one...

COULD BE THE TREASURE SHE'S BEEN SEEKING ALL HER LIFE

Modern Bree shocks Faelan in every way imaginable--her dress, her speech, her spunkiness. And he infuriates Bree every time he tries to protect her--can't  he see she can take care of herself?

With horrific demon enemies suddenly on the movie, Bree discovers that Faelan's duty as a protector is in his blood, and she's the only one who can feed him, body and soul...

Thoughts: While treasure hunting Bree Kirkland discovers her destiny in the form of a Highland warrior.

I enjoyed this story just for the fact a Highlander was involved. Made even more interesting by throwing demons into the mix. It was sweet watching the relationship between Faelan and Bree grow. Debut author Clenney has written a great beginning to a new series. Awaken the Highland Warrior is fun, sexy and action packed.  If you are a fan of other Highlander stories, you won't want to miss this one.

  3. I just read this one and really liked it as well. It started off slow for me but got better and better as the book went on. And there are lots of great highlanders for future books. :)
