[Review] - Acheron

Title: Acheron
Author: Sherrilyn Kenyon
Series: Dark-Hunter
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Year: 2008

Summary: Eleven thousand years ago a god was born. Cursed into the body of a human, Acheron spent a lifetime of shame. However, his human death unleashed an unspeakable horror that almost destroyed the earth. Then, brought back against his will, Acheron became the sole defender of mankind. Only it was never that simple. For centuries, he has fought for our survival and hidden a past he never wanted revealed. Until a lone woman who refuses to be intimidated by him threatens his very existence. Now his survival, and ours, hinges on hers and old enemies reawaken and unite to kill them both. War has never been more deadly... or more fun.

Thoughts: I loved every bit of this book. I think its the best Dark-Hunter book in a good long while. It's now one of my favorites. The first part of the book consists of Ash's past. Even though readers know that he didn't have the greatest past. It was still very hard to read it. It was so heartbreaking. Feels like your reading about a different person then the one we've met in past books. I didn't like his heroine to begin with, but now think she's perfect for Ash. All around a great book. I couldn't put it down once I started it. It's everything the fans were hoping for.

Score: 5 Stars

  2. Oh it was just so damn good! So glad that you loved it. I've loved Ash through all the books and it was great to see him get his HEA, finally!

The first part of the book WAS completely heart wrenching, but it explains so much of who Ash is that it was completely necessary.

    Great review.

  5. Thanks Christine.... I happy how well it's being received too. I haven't come across a bad review yet. But that's really true for any of her books. :)

  6. I found these over the summer and read them all. This was maybe the fourth one I read and then I went back to the beginning of the series. It took a bit of the mystery out of what Ash really was the permeates the first part of the series but I didn't mind.
