Title: No Mercy
Series: Dark-Hunter
Author: Sherrilyn Kenyon
Release Date: September 7, 2010
Book Summary:
Live fast, fight hard and if you have to die then take as many of your enemies with you as you can. That is the Amazon credo and it was one Samia lived and died by. Now in contemporary New Orleans, the immortal Amazon warrior is about to learn that there’s a worse evil coming to slaughter mankind than she’s ever faced before.
Shapeshifter Dev Peltier has stood guard at the front of Sanctuary for almost two hundred years and in that time, he’s seen it all. Or so he thought. Now their enemies have discovered a new source of power- one that makes a mockery of anything faced to date.
The war is on and Dev and Sam are guarding ground zero. But in order to win, they will have to break the most cardinal of all rules and pray it doesn’t unravel the universe as we know it.

Interview with Anastasia Hopcus
Today I'm excited to welcome Anastasia Hopcus! She is the author of Shadow Hills. My blog is the next stop on her tour. I hope everyone gives her a warm welcome!Hi Anastasia, Welcome to Anna's Book Blog! I'm glad to have you here. To start off can you tell the readers a little about yourself?
Hi! Glad to be here. I live in Austin Texas and have lived there almost all my life, but I spent a few years in Los Angeles, when I was interested in acting. I like to read, especially Young Adult paranormal, and I also spend a lot of time watching TV series on DVD. I'm a huge Buffy fan. As far as recent shows go, I watch Vampire Diaries and Supernatural, but this summer I've been hooked on DVD's of 30 Rock and The Office. I also love doing Sing Star karaoke with my friends. I enjoy music, and fortunately there are a number of bands who play here. I always try to go to SXSW every spring.
Shadow Hills is your newest release, can you tells us a little about it?
Shadow Hills is a Young Adult mystery with a paranormal twist. After the death of her sister, my main character, Phe, has been having cryptic dreams, much like the ones her sister had before she died. Phe decides to go to Devenish Prep, the boarding school that her sister mentioned in her last diary entry, but Phe soon realizes that the secrets of Shadow Hills are even darker than her own.
What is your writing day like?
I tend to stay up late, so I get up kind of late, too. For that first hour, I just drink my coffee and take care of office tasks like answering emails and goodreads messages. Then I do some yoga, and after that, I'm usually energized and can get down to writing. I write continuously for a fairly large chunk of time. I really love it when I can get rolling with a scene and just spend a few hours writing. Sometimes it flows, and sometimes it's like pulling teeth. I try not to quit until I've put in two or three hours of real work, but I often work long past then, too.
When your not writing what kind of books do you like to read?
I mostly read paranormal YA. That's my favorite kind of book, really. I used to read mysteries, too, but what with promoting Shadow Hills as well as trying to write, I'm hardly able to keep up with my stack of YA books. Recently I've read Whisper and Shade. I've got Beautiful Darkness waiting for me when I finish the blog tour. I know I won't want to stop reading it once I start, so I'm trying to save it till I'm not so busy.
Since becoming published, what has been your favorite part of the process?
As soon as I finished my revisions and had a pub date, I started working on ways I could get the word out on Shadow Hills, and that turned out to be pretty fun. I became part of the Tenners, an online group of YA authors debuting in 2010. It's been great getting to know them and sharing ideas. Through them, I started connecting with YA book bloggers, and they've just been awesome. I've been so amazed at how willing bloggers are to support Shadow Hills; they've been very generous with their time. Getting the Shadow Hills swag together was also fun. I even got this little machine so I could make buttons and magnets. (So if you happen to get any of those as swag, I made them myself!) But the best thing by far has been the relationships I've established with the bloggers and other authors.
What type of research did you do for your book?
I did a lot of research. I read scientific articles and books---I've never had to look up so many words in my life! I wanted to have a reality base for the paranormal elements, so I read about genetics and the brain, things like myelin and neuroplasticity. Some of it was just fascinating, particularly one book that was about the development of the brain as we grow up. I rented a couple of documentaries about the Bubonic Plague, and I read about almshouses and Massachusetts in the 1700's. I also had to research the setting of my book. I was sure that Massachusetts was the perfect place for the book to be set, but I'd never even visited the state, so I spent a couple of weeks there. Took a lot of pictures of old buildings and graveyards and these huge, huge trees. I fell in love with the Berkshires. I researched boarding schools online to get an idea of their policies and curriculum. I even spent some time reading students' experiences that were posted on boarding school review sites.
Are there any real life people that have inspired the characters in your series?
Almost all my characters have some aspects of my personality and often are like my friends and family in some ways. Toy's vinyl records, graphic novels, and Frank Kozik toys are all things that my boyfriend Brent collects, too. She loves horror movies like I do. Adriana and Phe share my interest in fashion. Zach and Phe have similar musical tastes to me. But none of the characters are really like any one particular person I know.
What are 3 things that are "must haves" for you when you sit down to write a book?
my laptop, an internet connection, silence
If Shadow Hills was turn into a tv show or movie, who would you like to see play your main characters?
As soon as I finished the book, I started seeing possible 'Zachs' in tons of movies. Over time, though, I've really decided my two favorites are Logan Lerman and Aaron Johnson. They're hot but not in a conceited male model way; they both look nice and fun and the teensiest bit shy.
As for Phe, I like Anna Sophia Robb.
What is up next? Is Shadow Hills the beginning of a series or will you move on to something else?
I'd love for Shadow Hills to be a series. I have a number of ideas for future books. I'd really like to develop Zach and Phe's relationship more, and I'd like to explore the secrets of Shadow Hills. But we'll just have to wait and see how Shadow Hills does before I can really start on that. In the meantime I'm in the initial stages of working on a paranormal YA set in London in the 1830's.

After her sister Athena's tragic death, it's obvious that grief-stricken Persephone "Phe" Archer no longer belongs in Los Angeles. Hoping to make sense of her sister's sudden demise and the cryptic dreams following it, Phe abandons her bubbly LA life to attend an uptight East Coast preparatory school in Shadow Hills, MA — a school which her sister mysteriously mentioned in her last diary entry before she died.
Once there, Phe quickly realizes that something is deeply amiss in her new town. Not only does Shadow Hills' history boast an unexplained epidemic that decimated hundreds of its citizens in the 1700s, but its modern townies also seem eerily psychic, with the bizarre ability to bend metal. Even Zach — the gorgeous stranger Phe meets and immediately begins to lust after — seems as if he is hiding something serious. Phe is determined to get to the bottom of it. The longer she stays there, the more she suspects that her sister's untimely death and her own destiny are intricately linked to those who reside in Shadow Hills.

[ARC Review] - Hawk of May
Author: Gillian Bradshaw
Series: Down the Long Way
Genre: Historical Fiction/Fantasy
Release Date: September 1, 2010
I received this book for review from Sourcebooks.
Summary: THE MAGICAL AND EPIC SAGA OF THE GREATEST WARRIOR OF ALL TIME.
Son of the Evil sorceress queen, Gwalchmai seemed destined to follow the path of Darkness. But early one morning, the isle of immortals calls him on a quest as a warrior of Light...and seals his destiny as hero of King Arthur's Britian.
Thoughts: His name was Gwalchmai, but story tellers and legend would call him Sir Gawain. Born to an evil sorceress it was no surprise that his life was on the road to darkness. But one day destiny came calling... sending him on a very important quest. His life would be forever changed when he took up arms under the Pendragon flag.
I thought this was a wonderful take on the King Arthur legends. I love reading books about King Arthur, but this is the first time I've read one just about Sir Gawain. Hawk of May is compelling and magical. The character of Gwalchmai pops off the pages and shines. Originally published in 1981, but the story is still fresh and poignant for 2010. Beautifully descriptive, a must read for any Arthurian fan.

[ARC Review] - Radiance
Author: Alyson Noël
Series: Radiance
Genre: Young Adult (middle-grade)
Release Date: August 31, 2010
I received this book for review from Macmillian/Square Fish.
Summary: Riley Bloom left her sister, Ever, in the world of the living and crossed the bridge into the afterlife—a place called Here, where time is always No ...more Riley Bloom left her sister, Ever, in the world of the living and crossed the bridge into the afterlife—a place called Here, where time is always Now. Riley and her dog, Buttercup, have been reunited with her parents and are just settling into a nice, relaxing death when she's summoned before The Council. They let her in on a secret—the afterlife isn't just an eternity of leisure; Riley has to work. She's been assigned a job, Soul Catcher, and a teacher, Bodhi, a curious boy she can't quite figure out.
Riley, Bodhi, and Buttercup return to earth for her first assignment, a Radiant Boy who's been haunting a castle in England for centuries. Many Soul Catchers have tried to get him to cross the bridge and failed. But he's never met Riley...
Thoughts: Radiance is the first book in a new series. It is a spin off of Ms Noël 's The Immortals. If you've read that series you'll be familiar with Riley, she is Ever's younger sister.
I have yet to read the Immortals series, but I do have Evermore on my shelf. One of the things I learned and loved about this new book is that you don't need to read The Immortals books to enjoy it.
This was my first time reading a book by Alyson Noel and I wasn't sure I'd like this one. But I was captivated by this cover and really wanted find out the girl's (Riley) story. It ended up being a very enjoyable read. Radiance is fun and engrossing. A vibrant read. An interesting take on the afterlife. Riley is a normal 12 year old girl, except she's dead. While she does have her bratty moments, she is charming character. One that you can't help but like.

[Review] - For the Love of Mollie
Title: For the Love of MollieAuthor: KT Grant
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: August 2010
I received this book for review from the author.
Summary: Mollie McGree is on a mission to seduce her best friend, the sexy masseuse Juan-Carlos. But she wants to lose a few extra pounds first. She joins a gym run by self-made millionaire and personal trailer, Conner Bean. Conner thinks Mollie doesn't need to lose any weight, and is perfect the way she is. He plans to seduce the curvy Mollie by giving her his own special training sessions in passion and desire.
Soon Mollie is enjoying a no-holds-barred love affair with the vibrant and skilled Conner. But self-esteem issues on her part, as well as her unresolved feelings for Juan-Carlos, cause her to second guess Conner's motives. Conner will stop at nothing until he claims Mollie's heart for his own.
Thoughts: Mollie McGree is crazy about her friend Juan Carlos, but she's under the impression she needs to loose a few pounds before she takes the plunge. But when she joins a gym and meets the delectable Conner Bean, a new world is opened up to her, one she thought was never possible. Mollie finds herself enjoying everything about Conner but she still isn't sure about things. Conner on the other knows what he wants, and that's Mollie. He has no plans of letting her go.
For the Love of Mollie was a sweet, sexy read. I really loved this one, it was very real. Plus this is one I could relate to. I think anyone that has struggled with their weight will find a piece of themselves in Molly. This is one hot little read, I definitely recommend giving it a try.
This is the second book I have read of KT Grant's... What I love about her writing is that no matter the genre she writes with heart and about real everyday people. They are true and believable and that's a powerful thing. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Tell A Man By His Drinks
By: Anne Marsh
By: Anne Marsh
You can tell much about a man by what he drinks-- and I'm not talking about vampires. My very first romance novel-- which consists of precisely one paragraph-- introduced my hero with his feet up on a desk, drinking vodka. He was a Russian prince. Ruthless. Sexy. Surrounded by authentic leather wall (yes, leather was the de rigueur wall covering in classy Russian studies of the nineteenth century variety), he further proved his Russkii background by downing shots. Unfortunately, I never did figure out what to do with my hero after he set his glass back on his desk and, as far as I know, he's still waiting in his study for a heroine and happily-ever-after.
For some reason, romance seems to produce lots of beer drinkers. One of my favorite summertime images is of sexy alpha males popping the tops off beer bottles. And then
There are mystical potions and almost magical drinks that double as birth control (think Johanna Lindsey’s WARRIOR’S WOMAN and the sexy barbarian Challen Ly-San-Ter). And there are always, always bonus points for coffee-- particularly if our hero makes excellent coffee and even more so if he makes it for the heroine. I nearly tossed one of Lora Leigh's shifter romances against the wall when her Breed hero decided to withhold caffeine and coffee from her heroine (sure, health is important-- but coffee is more so). Fortunately, later heroes wised up and made coffee.
My new book, BOND WITH ME, opens in an opulent Moscow club. The hero and his brethren are surrounded by humans who want the fantasy of losing themselves, of giving up control and exploring dark, decadent fantasies in the arms of the Fallen. Mischka Baran is, of course, an orange juice drinker. She's not interested in fantasies-- or so she thinks. She doesn't trust anything that doesn't come hermetically sealed in a plastic bottle. Untouched. Safe. Brends Duranov, however, isn't going to leave Mischka untouched. He's out to seduce her, to coax her into giving up all that delicious control for just a little while. The straw-colored bubbles of the haute-couture champagne Perrier-Jouët he pours for her are just the first step. He's offering to bring to life the sensual fantasies she didn't realize she had-- one wicked sip at a time.

By Anne Marsh - Out August 24th
Fallen angels… They rule Moscow’s seedy underworld, promising untold pleasure to the females who dare to mate them. That promise – and Brends Duranov’s own raw sexual power – has hopefuls mobbing the velvet rope outside his elite club G2’s.
But Mischka Baran has no intention of hooking up with one of the Fallen. Not even after Brends gives her an unforgettable taste of the sin and seduction he can deliver with those wicked lips. She’s after information, not a stint as some Goblin’s toy of the month. What she doesn’t know is that with a sadistic killer carving up his brethren, Brends is playing for keeps, hunting the one woman whose bloodline can end the mayhem, whose bond can restore his lost wings.

Thoughts: Moscow is home to fallen angels, where they rule the underworld. These fallen angels have been cursed to live as goblins. But there is hope... if they find their soul mates and find love, the angel will regain his wings and all that was lost. Brends Durranov is one such fallen angel. He has indescribable sexual powers, very hard to resist. He hopes Mischa Baran is the women that will sate his hunger, but Mischka is on a mission. For Brends this will not be an easy task.
Bond with Me is a dark and lush story. Set in Moscow 2090, where paranormal creatures are the norm. I loved that this book was set in Moscow, it's always nice to have a change in scenery. I loved this book from beginning to end. A very enjoyable read with fun characters. I really liked Brends, the perfect alpha male- sexy as hell and demanding. He's not a fan of the word "no". It was exciting seeing him and Mischka come together. The raw energy of the males in this story make for a tantalizingly, erotic read. Fans of fallen angels will eat this one up.

[Series Spotlight] - Casa Dracula
This month's spotlight is Casa Dracula by Marta Acosta. I just started reading the fourth and last book of this series, Haunted Honeymoon. So I thought this would been a good spotlight post. If you haven't checked out this series yet I highly recommend you do. It's one of my favorites. It's got a little of everything... paranormal, comedy, romance and mystery.

Happy Hour at Casa Dracula, Book #1
Despite her Fancy University (F.U.) degree, Milagro de los Santos isn't having much success at life. She can barely pay the rent and all of her boyfriends are as frivolous as beach reads. Then, at a party in honor of her successful ex-boyfriend, she meets the unusually attractive, quirky Oswald Grant.
Who knew that her passionate kiss with Oswald would result in serious illness, a craving for raw meat, and an aversion to sunlight? Well, her ambitious ex knew, and after he attempts to kidnap Milagro, she must hide out with Oswald's snobby family at their country estate to recover and learn the truth about their mysterious "genetic condition." When Oswald and his family are threatened, Milagro uses her wits, her wiles, and a whacky scheme to bring down the power-hungry creeps who refuse to let the undead live in peace.
Hip, funny Milagro de los Santos thinks she's finally found love and a home at the California ranch of fabulous Oswald Grant and his urbane relatives, who have a rare genetic disorder that some call vampirism. But Milagro is bewildered when she's excluded from an ancient and mysterious midnight ceremony whose participants include Oswald's unfriendly parents, a creepy family elder, and Milagro's ex-lover, the powerful and decadent Ian Ducharme. What skeletons are the vampires keeping in their designer closets?
When Milagro's life is threatened by a rogue family member, she flees to the desert to hide. Instead of solitude, she encounters an egomaniacal actor, a partying heiress, a sly tabloid reporter, and a lavish spa full of dark secrets -- all of which might help her find a way home.
Milagro de los Santos is having serious problems planning her wedding to fabulous Oswald Grant, M.D. Her future in-laws loathe her, her dog just died, and Oswald’s family has a genetic anomaly that makes them crave blood. Then her extravagant best friend hijacks the role of weddingcoordinator, and the secretive Vampire Council assigns conniving Cornelia Ducharme to guide the couple through the ancient vampire marriage rituals.
To top it all off, Milagro’s career is on the skids. She’s reduced to ghostwriting the memoirs of a loony little man who claims to be a shapeshifter. And why does Cornelia’s decadent, way too attractive brother, Ian, always show up whenever Milagro is away from Oswald?
When a series of accidents interferes with wedding plans, Oswald worries that Milagro is cracking under the pressure. Is she just paranoid, or is a hidden enemy trying to make sure Milagro doesn't wed the undead?
As the only human to survive vampire infection, Milagro de Los Santos has become quite a celebrity among the blood-drinking elite. Too bad the perks of her condition—increased strength, super-fast healing—don’t pay her condo fees. There are other complications too. She’s feeling guilty about her fling with enigmatic Vampire Council member Ian Ducharme, and pining for her ex-fiancé, Dr. Oswald Grant . . . the fabulous man whose kiss changed her life. It’s when Milagro — irked by Ian’s attentions to his neighbor — travels to London and enjoys a sexy flirtation of her own, that the blood really hits the fan.
Suddenly, those around her are dying gruesome deaths and Milagro’s being interrogated. Who would kill to set her up as a murder suspect? Milagro just wants to turn back the clock and have another chance to make things right, but no sooner has she escaped to Oswald’s ranch than an accident obliterates her memory. Will the murderer come after her now? And will amnesia spark a romantic do-over with Oswald—or will she make all the same mistakes before she ever gets to say "I do"?

[ARC Review] - Paranormalcy
Author: Kiersten White
Genre: Young Adult
Release Date: August 31, 2010
I received this book for review from Harper Teen.
Summary: Evie's always thought of herself as a normal teenager, despite the fact that she works for the International Paranormal Containment Agency, her ex-boyfriend is a faerie, she's falling for a shape-shifter, and she's the only person who can see through paranormals' glamours. But Evie's about to realize that she may very well be at the center of a dark faerie prophecy promising destruction to all paranormal creatures.
So much for normal.
Thoughts: Evie works for the International Paranormal Containment Agency. She takes down paranormals with her pink taser. Even though she's surround by paranormal... well everything on a daily basis she still feels like normal teenage girl. But when a dark prophecy becomes known that she will be the end of all paranormal creatures... her "normal" goes right how the window.
Oh, bleep! I loved this book. Paranormalcy is a quirky and utterly original, but also has a darkness to it too. Evie is quite the lovable character, I liked her a lot. She reminded me a little bit of Buffy, except with a taser. Kiersten White has created a seductive new world filled with all sorts of paranormal creatures. A fast read but wonderful written, I look forward to reading more.

Feeling Crafty...
For the most part I'm not all that crafty. But when it comes to Author goodies (bookmarks, postcards etc..) I keep them on scrapbook pages in a big binder. That's really extent of me doing crafts. But back in 2008 I made my first framed goodies. When I put my latest bunch of goodies in my scrapbook I had some left over so I decided to frame some more. Below is my latest framed work. I think it turned out pretty well. Better than I thought it would. :)

[Review] - Eternity and a Day
Title: Eternity and a DayAuthor: Aline Hunter
Series: Desires of the Otherworld
Genre: Paranormal Romance/Fantasy
Release Date: July 6, 2010
I received this book for review from the author.
Summary: Dreading the one night per tide he’s forced to travel between the realms, Draigen Eric Locke has only one desire on Samhain – to retrieve the fae transporting daemon relics through the realms and escort her to the Dark Court to face the sidhe king. When he mistakenly recovers the wrong fae, the dragon under his skin responds in a way he never could have predicted, and he discovers he’s found the woman destined to him by the Fates – his Chosen.
Runa Charon is an anomaly among her kind, the mortal offspring of a human and a fae. Unlike other sidhe, she longs to experience pleasure instead of pain, love instead of lust. Immortally strong but mortally fragile, she’s been sheltered all of her life. When the opportunity to meet a Draigen from the Otherworld arises, she can’t resist the temptation and travels to meet the man who will change her destiny.
Unlike other netherworld creatures, Draigen mate for life, choosing to follow the path of their beloved mate in this reality or the next. Knowing a future can only span one lifetime, will they settle for less than an eternity? Or will they be grateful for the gift of each day?
Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Dubious consent, violence.
Thoughts: Draigen Eric Lock and half-fae, Runa Charon come from very different worlds... Eric has one job on Samhain -- transporting a law breaking fae's between realms. This Samhain things aren't going the way Eric expected. First he learns that he has taken the wrong fae and that this particular creature, beautiful Runa... is his mate.
I loved this story! Runa is the type of character that grips your heart. She's not treated very well by her family members, and you'll find yourself rooting for her from the beginning. In walks Eric, the sexy draigen. Commanding and sweet, he's exactly what Runa needs in all ways. Eternity and a Day is an enticing story. A wonderful read with high energy and sizzling hot scenes. I love the flow and pace of this story. With romance, fantasy and paranormal elements... there is something for all readers.

Interview with Carl Franklin
Today I'm happy to welcome Carl Franklin to my blog His latest release is called Bloodlines. Let's give him a warm welcome. :)Hi Carl, Welcome to Anna's Book Blog! I'm glad to have you here. To start off can you tell the readers a little about yourself?
Ahh the dreaded question everyone awaits. What interesting details are there to divulge about ourselves, myself in particular, that would spare the boring details and keep the mildly entertaining… I’m 23. I grew up in a house rampant of zombies; my writing skill has been in my blood since I had the ability to write my name. I conjured my first comprehensible sentence at the age of 10, and by 13 I had my first published poem. I’ve written freelance for several teen magazines while I was in my modest school years.
Bloodlines is your debut novel, can you tells us a little about it and the series?
Bloodlines is one in its own, although it does have an upcoming sequel shortly coming by the year’s end. Bloodlines follows the life of a man named Kyle Montana whom is an angel in human form put on earth to witness the calamity that occurs in his daily life and those around him. Overcoming his obstacles, he moves to further successes and finds his life’s true purpose is to live and love.
What is your writing day like?
I awake usually at 9 pm and I turn on my Pandora radio. I scour Facebook and catch up on the happenings concerning my friends and my profile, then I turn to Microsoft Word where I’m greeted by a slew of gnomes whipping me into place as I put together that night’s deadline. About 3 am rolls around, and I turn to my friend Monster Energy and then hammer at my keyboard further to discover I’ve met my night’s goal and I step timidly into a large bathtub where I’m whisked away by Calgon and a good book that doesn’t stem from my imagination. =)
When you’re not writing what kind of books do you like to read?
I read a variety of Genres and I have no major preference. As long as it doesn’t get too political.
Which Authors have influenced you the most?
The first Author to influence me into writing professionally was Dean Koontz, as I entered the 6th grade. My mother handed me a book from her shelf, unaware if it would be of any interest in my class book report, and it sure did! “Mr. Murder” became my first and favorite adult book when I was a kid, when other’s of my age would just begin to read Goosebumps and Babysitter’s Club!
What has been your favorite part of getting your book published?
My favorite part is seeing it online and displayed publicly. The best aspect is entertaining a group of people (my reader-base) and seeing reviews come in as people enjoy the book. It’s excruciatingly painful to get feedback of any kind, but I still live for it. Because as with my influences of Koontz, Sparks and my local author friends, there leaves a great deal of room for learning lessons and improvement from Book 1 to each book thereafter.
What are 3 things that are "must haves" for you when you sit down to write a book?
First- Pepsi and lots of it!!
Second- Music, I hardly ever can write in a quiet atmosphere. Music is my inspiration ALWAYS!
Third- Patience and a clear head. I have to listen to my characters and be open to what they tell me. As a writer, I rely on my characters to help me develop the stories. My books aren’t ever my story, it’s theirs and I’m just the “middle-man” trying to please my characters and adapt to their needs. You could call me a literary slave, but I know I’m not the only author who listens to their characters!
What type of research did you do for the book?
Well I do all sorts of research from location specific attributes to scientific facts. Like for example, did you know that sticky sap from Elm trees is called Lanesterol- and it helps deter bugs and preserve leaf lifespan?
Are there any real life people that have inspired the characters in your book?
As with almost any author in the market, I’d be a liar if I said I didn’t use any personal details, fact or experiences in my literature. Every writer has done it, and we continue to. Although any fact or detail has been converted fictitiously and also exaggerated to a certain degree! For almost every writer, myself included, we utilize our work as a therapeutic mechanism. It’s only human nature! =)
What is up next? Is Bloodlines a stand-alone novel or is it gonna be part of series?
The sequel Legacy is coming soon by the year’s end. So you’d better get to reading Bloodlines, so you can be prepared for Legacy.

Interview/Giveaway with Terry Spear
Give a warm welcome to author, Terry Spear. I love her werewolves, so I'm excited to have her back to visit. This time around she's here celebrating her latest release Seduced by the Wolf.Hi Terry, Welcome to Anna's Book Blog! I'm glad to have here. To start off can you tell the readers a little about yourself?
Terry: Thanks so much for having me here, Anna! I absolutely love to read. If I run out of reading material, I’m lost. And yes, I write all the time, work full-time as a librarian, teach online writing classes, but still HAVE to get in my reading fix. (And no, contrary to popular opinion, I don’t have time to sit and read books at the library!) I love to tell stories, which is derived from my love of falling into worlds others have created for me to enjoy.
Seduced by the Wolf is the 5th book in your werewolf series and your latest release, can you tell us a little about it?
Terry: Leidolf Wildhaven has been causing trouble since Book 1, Heart of the Wolf. So it’s about time he had a little trouble of his own. Not just the kind he’s dealt with in the first four books of the series…but REAL trouble—in the form of one sexy red wolf who, heaven forbid, doesn’t want him like he wants her. Although with Leidolf’s persuasive ways, she’s having a real hard time sticking to her mission—educating the world about the plight of wolves, choosing to be a loner instead of being with her werewolf kind. You’d think Leidolf has enough on his plate already what with teen troubles, excursions to the zoo, and not in a good way, wayward wolves who won’t mind, and a multitude of other troubles, but they all pale when it comes to attempting to win the heart of werewolf wolf biologist Cassie Roux.
What is your writing day like?
Terry: Busy. I get up around 5:30 to blog, catch up on emails, write a little and go to work. At lunch break, I do the same. After work, the same. On my days off, I garden, write, and catch up on everything I couldn’t do during the days I’m at work. So I stay really busy!
When you’re not writing what kind of books do you like to read?
Terry: I read about everything, but werewolf books. I love time travels and historical romances so read tons of those. I love Sharon Lathan’s Mr. Darcy series. I enjoy reading about wolves! And about true life adventures. I really love to read a lot of different things.
How much research do you put into each book you write? Do you have a process you stick with?
Terry: I write by the seat of the pants, so I don’t plot out my stories. For me, thinking of research as a process is way too much like plotting. I write the characters of the story—the scenes based upon their actions and reactions. And then I’ll research the setting to make sure it fits. Or I’ll get stumped and so I’ll take a break and just read something about wolves, and get an idea. As I’m writing Dreaming of the Wolf, Book 8, the hero asks the heroine if there’s a drive-in theater they can go to. Well, then I had to research and see if there was. Nope. Also, I learned there wasn’t a cemetery there, so had to revise how I wrote the next scene. I loved doing it though. It makes it real for me. Just like the hero didn’t know about these things, neither did I!
What are 3 things that are "must haves" for you when you sit down to write a book?
Terry: Green tea. That’s it. I can write long hand, or at my computer. I can listen to music, or not. Although for one scene, I listened to wolves howling because I was writing a scene about that. And I want to give a special thanks here to a werewolf fan, Diva Donna, who is an official member of the pack, because she actually sent me a CD with howling wolves on it! I also listened to rain falling on a river in a scene to describe it in Seduced by the Wolf.
You have several books under your belt since becoming a published author, what is/ or has been your favorite part of the process.
Terry: Writing the first meeting between the hero and heroine, and the opening scene. And I love trying to come up with a satisfying ending that feels good—feels just right.
If you were a wolf, which breed of wolf would you be?
Terry: A red, because they’re smaller and my family always called me the runt of the litter, so it would feel natural to me to be a red.
Out of all the books in your Werewolf series, do you have a favorite book or character?
Terry: I love them all. My favorite characters are the ones I’m currently working on, because I’m falling in love with them—with their quirks, their good sides and bad—throughout their trials and can’t wait to see them have a happily ever after, too.
What is up Next? Do you see the Werewolf series having an end or do you feel it's an open ended series?
Terry: It’s open-ended. I’ve pitched a couple of new books to my editor, which would give me the opportunity to write one of the Highland brother’s stories, from Heart of the Highland Wolf, and Meara’s story, from To Tempt the Wolf , if they’re accepted.
Thanks so much for having me, Anna! I’ve enjoyed being here with you today!
For anyone who drops by, and if you’ve read any of the series, who would you like to see a story about?

His first priority is to protect his pack…
Werewolf pack leader Leidolf Wildhaven has just taken over a demoralized pack. With rogue wolves on the loose causing havoc and the authorities from the zoo suddenly zeroing in on the local wolf population, the last thing he needs in his territory is a do-gooder female, no matter how beautiful and enticing she is…
She’ll do anything to help wolves…
Biologist Cassie Roux has dedicated her life to protecting wolves in the wild. On a desperate mission to help a she-wolf with newborn pups, the last thing Cassie needs right now is a nosy and entirely too attractive werewolf pack leader trying to track her down…
With rogue wolves and hunters threatening at every turn, Cassie and Leidolf may find their attraction the most dangerous force of all…
