Selena Blake's Top 5
Frequently Asked Questions
My readers are a wonderful bunch. Friendly, inquisitive, and a tad bit impatient. Which is why I love them. They keep me on my toes.
I know some authors consider their work sacred and finished. They dislike when anyone questions a detail or a character motivation or the outcome of the story.
I actually like when readers take the time to ask me things. While I usually already have a ready answer, it's good to see that my readers are generally thinking along the same lines as me, want the same questions answered, and a bit of justice. These questions always make me think, which I believe makes me a better writer and story teller.
Over the years, some questions have come up more than others. Here are my top five frequently asked questions and the answers.
1. Will Angel and Jules get married?
Yes. But that's our secret until Christmas, okay? I always try to find a balance between the human world and the paranormal world that my wolves dominate. Since Angel is human, marriage is more important to her than it would be to say Juliette, who is a werewolf like Jules and Andre. It's important to me that characters find love, but also follow a believable timeline. So yes, Angel will get her day.
2. Will you ever write a M/M romance?
I wrote a m/m/f romance for Changeling Press called Azula's Rebellion. I don't know that it was enough to satisfy my readers, but I thought it was a nice story. If you want more, let me know. I'm always happy to hear from my readers and I always strive to make them happy.
3. What gender will Amanda's baby be?
Oh boy. I get this question a LOT. Tehe. Seems everyone likes a bébé… You'll find out the answer to this question in the extra special… wait, this answers the next question…
4. Will you ever write more Stormy Weather books?
I obviously had some things to wrap up. So watch for the extra special holiday edition, A Cajun Werewolf Christmas coming out later this year. And after that...who knows. *wink*
5. Do you have a favorite book/character that you've written?
This is like picking a favorite child, you know that right? Right now, my favorite story is Burke's, Stranded with a Cajun Werewolf. I feel like this story is bigger, more inclusive, more romantic, highly emotional and just tells a darn good story start to finish. True, it's a short time frame and a long book, but I love the transformation that these two go through and I appreciate all the hard work it took for them to get to where they are now and the work it took for me to get their story finished and in front of my readers.
Are you hesitant to ask authors questions? Give it a go. They might just give you the answer you want to hear.

They take her back to their cabin, offering her protection and shelter from the storm.
But Angelica quickly finds herself falling under their spell and they happily show her that if one Deveraux is good, two are infinitely better.
