Thoughts: Jack Donavan is a smoke jumper, meaning he jumps from planes and puts out fires. He lives a life of adrenaline and danger.  He is on a job, when he get a call from his adopted mother to come back home to help the local fire chief for the summer.  Jack agrees but is very reluctant to go back to his home town of Strong, because it means there is a chance he'll run into Lily Cortez.

Contemporary Romance is not my favorite genre to read - but the cover was quite yummy, so I had to give it a go and it turned out to be a good read. Burning Up is pure adrenaline rush with a side of sexy. It's filled with romance and suspense. Jack Donavan will make your temperature rise. Marsh writes alpha males beautifully, they are just too hard to resist - for both the heroine and reader.
